With its sweeping fenders, gleaming chrome, broad grille, graceful body lines, whitewall tires, and open-air styling, this beautifully proportioned Ford remains a standout among early-1950s American classics.
Danbury Mint recreated the car in exceptional 1:24-scale detail, finished in the spectacular factory color Coral Flame Red with a richly appointed red-and-black interior. The deep, glossy finish, brilliant chrome, finely detailed dashboard, steering wheel, upholstery, engine compartment, trunk, wheels, and chassis give this model tremendous presence from every angle.
This is a numbered Limited Edition, individually identified as #1876 of only 5,000 produced. Complete examples with their original accessories, paperwork, packaging, and strong cosmetic presentation are becoming increasingly hard to find. This is an especially complete collector package. Included are the original Certificate of Title, Unpacking & Care Instructions, removable hardtop, convertible top boot cover, original accessory packaging, original Styrofoam clamshell, and original Danbury Mint box.
The removable hardtop and boot cover allow the model to be displayed in multiple attractive configurations. The hood opens to reveal a highly detailed engine compartment, while the trunk opens to expose the fully finished luggage area and spare tire. The interior features a finely reproduced dashboard, steering wheel, instruments, upholstery, door panels, carpeting, and bright trim.
The underside is also extensively detailed with the frame, suspension, drivetrain, exhaust system, and mechanical components. The Coral Flame Red finish is absolutely gorgeous-rich, glossy, and beautifully complemented by the chrome and whitewall tires. Whether displayed with the top down, with the boot cover installed, or with the removable hardtop in place, this is a striking model with tremendous visual appeal. VEHICLE: Near mint overall and cosmetically mint in appearance, with beautiful Coral Flame Red paint, excellent chrome and trim, clear glass, a richly detailed red-and-black interior, engine compartment, trunk, wheels, whitewall tires, chassis, and outstanding overall presentation.I do not see any cosmetic flaws to call out. One door did not open during inspection, and I chose not to force it. The other opening features shown in the photographs operated properly. As with any hand-assembled precision diecast model, there may be tiny factory-level finish or assembly variations visible only under extreme close inspection.
The model displays beautifully and presents as an exceptionally well-preserved collector example. BOX: Near mint overall, with only mild shelf and storage wear.
The original Styrofoam packaging is clean, solid, and in excellent condition.
