Welcome, Today for your consideration is a New Old Sock GENUINE GM Cadillac Eldorado hood ornament assembly, this is correct for 71 & 72 the base is GM part #3633825 & #1496978 is cast into the base, ornament topper GM part #3633594 This assembly is in excellent NOS condition, exceptional crisp shiny chrome, bold vivid color with a nice clear glossy finish. The mounting studs have not been threaded verifying new old stock. I've been told will work on 73 to 78 but you will need to drill an extra hole since the rear stud is further back for 71&72..... This is and original production line part there is no original packaging, may have some minor shelf-wear always beautiful and absolutely GUARANTEED GENUINE GM!
